Doing a track alignment on this customer’s track toy. Turns out it had toe-out in back, which must’ve been... interesting. I wish I fit in these damn things.

He also has an ‘04 R32 and a 1M, which I’m going to get to drive soon. Looking forward to that little beastie.

Correct me if I’m totally wrong here, but with a stock powered miata, a little tow out in the rear is a good thing (induces oversteer) for autox. For track I’d lower it to 0.

Toe out in the front and max that caster all the way!

I’d never exceed or even get within a tenth (toe-in) of 0 toe in back in a RWD car unless perhaps it was an extreme autocross-only or maybe drift setup. This is mostly a track and occasional street car with an skilled but learning driver who readily admits his shortcomings, so we need predictable turn-in characteristics. Toe out in a RWD car makes violent oversteer. Some FWD cars can get away with a bit, but having driven some so set-up, even that is scary.
